June 13, 2018
FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE – Christian media professionals in communications and the arts will gather in Nashville July 11-14 for four days of networking, training, mutual encouragement and fellowship at the 43rd annual International Christian Visual Media conference.
With this year’s theme of “Difference,” the event culminates Saturday night with the ICVM Crown Awards recognizing the year’s best achievements in video and film production. The conference is an annual highlight for producers, writers, actors, marketers, social media experts and distributors of Christian and family content for film and television.
“In addition to valuable workshops and panels and an outstanding lineup of speakers, the conference schedule puts a premium on networking and showcasing attendee’s work,” said Jared Geesey, ICVM president. “Participants will head back into their lives with fresh ideas, skills and deeper relationships with international peers.”
Speakers include Jon Erwin, writer and director of the hit films I CAN ONLY IMAGINE and WOODLAWN; award-winning actress Karen Abercrombie, star of the Kendrick Brothers film WAR ROOM; noted casting director Beverly Holloway; Fathom Events Director of Programming Katie Sawyer-Stachler and many others.
Participants also can sign up to show five-minute clips from their current projects. Limited slots are available.
“The seminars cover all aspects of visual media—creation, production and distribution,” said Paul Marks, ICVM director of operations.
Seminar highlights include:
- The fast-changing world of media distribution—including digital, theatrical and television.
- Screenwriting insights and practical applications and acting workshops.
- Hands-on production discussions ranging from the basics all the way to professional filming.
Advance screening of new faith films at the conference include INDIVISIBLE, TORTURED FOR CHRIST, BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN and UNBROKEN: PATH TO REDEMPTION.
