THE PANDEMIC IS HERE, WHERE IS GOD?
New, Free Books ‘Biblical Insights to Tough Questions’ Views the Age of COVID-19 Through a Biblical Lens, from Noted Author and Cultural Commentator Jim Denison
DALLAS – April 14, 2020 – Denison Forum founder, author and podcaster Jim Denison, offers a spiritual prescription for helping people cope in these challenging times in two new books Biblical Insights to Tough Questions – Corona Virus Special Edition and Vol. 5 in his Biblical Insights to Tough Questions series.
The books offer practical help, insight and encouragement as they explore the current challenging circumstances through the lens of the Bible. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Denison Forum is making the books available free.
Denison is no stranger to suffering. He consults with Baylor Scott & White Health, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit healthcare systems, about ethical issues involved with treating COVID-19 patients. Plus, he put such experience to use in his own family, walking with his son Ryan as he battled cancer.
“God is not surprised by circumstances that seem out of control to us,” Jim Denison said. “And his word in the scriptures spells out principles that guide you in helping those suffering in a global pandemic or in times of intimate, personal hardship.”
Biblical Insights to Tough Questions – Corona Virus Special Edition helps readers understand:
  • How could God allow this pandemic?
  • Should I fear death?
  • How can I face my fears with faith?
  • How can I face the future with hope?
  • How can I partner with God to redeem this crisis?
  • What have we learned about the world as it responds to the pandemic.
Biblical Insights to Tough Questions – Corona Virus Special Edition and Vol. 5 in the Biblical Insights to Tough Questions series are among the numerous resources available from the Denison Forum. Since its founding in 2009, the Denison Forum has thoughtfully engaged the issues of the day from a biblical perspective. Just last month, the Denison Forum released another book that can help in the age of COVID-19, Making Sense of Suffering by Jim and Ryan Denison. The book explores seven ways the Bible shows how to help hurting people.
Jim Denison holds masters and doctoral degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and served 11 years as pastor of the 10,000-member Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.
